Customer Information:

The Pennsylvania Association of Non-Profit Homes for the Aging (PANPHA) represents the interests of over 320 long-term care nursing facilities, personal care homes, housing providers and continuing care retirement communities.

Business Need:

Regular communication to their members and providing value-added benefits are critical for business success. In striving to achieve this success, PANPHA was faced with several key concerns - the numerous IT vendors they used did not talk with each other, internal systems were not integrated, and issues with business systems led to problems with members receiving information.

PANPHA knew these issues needed to be resolved in order to focus their efforts on business operations. They also recognized the need for a solid IT foundation to cultivate future client-based services.

Implementation:

All external IT vendors and associated hosting fees were eliminated by moving all key business systems into Prelude’s data center. As systems were moved, they were upgraded to supported versions and the necessary support agreements were put in place. By utilizing our application expertise and working with vendors, software issues that were a constant barrier for staff were corrected. Systems were consolidated on enterprise servers to enhance performance. Application development staff interfaced systems to reduce manual data entry and increase accuracy.

PANPHA Today:

PANPHA has been able to use the money they previously spent on multiple IT vendors to reinvest it into their business and create the type of value-added benefits their members expect and deserve. Communication with members is seamless and member access to information is effortless. The time staff would spend on troubleshooting business systems issues is now spent on serving members.

In addition to helping PANPHA improve communication with its members, Prelude worked with PANPHA to create a state-wide wage and benefit survey that helps member personnel departments keep their organizations competitive in the labor market. We also reengineered their member’s only website and facilitated setting up list serves so members can easily stay in touch with each other.
